This facility will let you easily accommodate a place at stations and you will not have to go anywhere for waiting trains and also you will not need to find railway staff who provide retiring rooms and are not available.
Currently, this facility is being given only at the retiring rooms in Mumbai and soon other important stations of tourist interest and metropolitan cities will be covered.
You can book online retiring rooms on both the sites that is, online e-ticketing site irctc.co.in and rail tourism site www.railtourismindia.com.
A retiring room or a dormitory bed can be booked for a minimum of 12 hours and a maximum of 48 hours. One can book a retiring room both at the originating and the destination station of his journey.
The Service Charge for booking a retiring room will be Rs 20 for up to 24 hours and Rs 40 beyond 24 hours and up to 48 hours. For a dormitory bed, the charges will be be Rs 10 for up to 24 hours and Rs 20 beyond 24 hours and up to 48 hours.
